HOW IT WORKS

INTRODUCTION TO HOMESTAY

Booking a homestay with HFS London couldn’t be simpler. We’ll be with you each step of the way. We’ve compiled some common questions in our Help Centre but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch with one of our friendly team.

THE PROCESS

Step 1 - Apply

Start by completing our online application form. If you have any allergies or preferences, then this is the place to make us aware of them!

Step 2 - Process

As soon as we receive your application, one of our team will start working on it immediately, searching through our extensive database to find the best matches for you.

Step 3 - Profiles

24 – 48 hours after receiving your application, we will send you a selection of carefully selected profiles matching your criteria, complete with pictures, information about the family and transport links

Step 4 - Choose

We’ll ask you to choose which homestays you like the best (and in what order), so we can contact the host families to check their availability. Homestay is a popular choice in London so the quicker you respond, the more likely it is your choice of hosts will be available!

Step 5 - Payment

Once we have confirmed availability, we will send you an invoice to secure the room for the length of your stay. It’s also a good idea to read our terms and conditions to make sure you’re happy with everything before proceeding.

Step 6 - Documents

We’ll ask you to send us a copy of your passport/ ID card and/ or Visa as well as an acceptance letter from your place of study/ work here in London.

Step 7 - Confirmation

Once payment/ documents have been received, we will send you a booking confirmation with all of the details of the host family including name, address and contact information.

Step 8 - Contact

It’s a good idea to get in contact with your host before your arrival. It’s a good way to introduce yourself and let your host family know of your flight/ arrival details, so they know when to expect you.

Step 9 - Relax!

Your accommodation is taken care of. You’re going to London. So get excited for the adventure that’s about to unfold.

For arrivals in less than 7 days we urge you to complete the application form as accommodation fills up quickly in London!
