Homestay Meal Plans
Arguably more important that the accommodation, is food! So we’ve put together a small guide to help you decide which meal plan is right for you during your homestay experience.
Half Board (7 Nights)
Continental Breakfast and Evening Meal Monday to Sunday.
Continental Breakfast
Cereal, Toast, Jam, Tea/Coffee, Juice
Evening Meal
Main meal to include a meat or fish dish. To be eaten with host family
Half Board is a very popular choice. If you’re here doing an English language course, then this is a great option, as it allows you to experience local cuisine you may not otherwise experience. Many hosts also like to converse with students at dinner, so it’s a great way to improve your English as well!
Half Board (5 Nights)
Continental Breakfast 7 days in the week. Evening Meal Monday to Friday only. ‘Light’ access to kitchen on weekends.

Perhaps you would like to explore London’s culinary delights, but still have home cooked meals during the week? Then go for the Half Board 5 nights option, a great choice for those seeking a little flexibility. London has so many nice places to eat; it would be a shame not to try some!
Bed and Breakfast
‘Light’ access to kitchen only.

‘Light’ access includes use of the kitchen to make a sandwich and possibly use of the microwave. No access to the cooker/oven to prepare meals.
Perhaps you already know a few people in London, or are keen to make friends and explore the city. Bed and Breakfast is great for those who don’t anticipate being at home much. Our hosts will show you where everything is, so you can grab some breakfast before heading out.
Self Catering
Guest prepares own meals and has a dedicated storage area for food in the kitchen. Times for use of kitchen to be decided with host family.
Maybe you’re studying to be a chef (in which case your host may ask you cook for them!), or maybe you’d like the option of cooking your own food in your homestay, and eating out every now and then. The self – catering option is designed for the more independent homestay guest and we find is very popular for those on internships.
